About Us

About the Founder

Danielle, a performer and movement teacher based in the Chicagoland area, founded Crafted Movement to inspire women to embrace movement and live rich fulfilling lives. She offers dance, yoga classes, and empowerment workshops aimed at fostering self-love and confidence. In 2005, Danielle began taking belly dance classes and was immediately captivated. The confidence and body awareness that the dance provided was life-changing. She has since expanded her dance portfolio to include salsa, tango, ballet, hip-hop, and contemporary dance styles. In 2024, she completed coursework towards her 200HR YT Certification from Eb & Flow Yoga Studio in Chicago, Illinois. There she specialized in Baptiste Power Flow and Yin Yoga. In addition to yoga, she nurtured her passion for meditation and became comfortable asking herself some challenging reflective questions. Danielle aspires to leverage her diverse skill set to empower women and cultivate body positivity. She looks forward to moving with you soon!

Crafted Movement’s Offerings

  • Yin Yoga

    Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga where poses are held for longer periods, typically ranging from 1 to 5 minutes. It targets the deep connective tissues of the body, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia, aiming to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. Unlike more dynamic styles of yoga, Yin Yoga focuses on relaxation and surrendering into each pose, allowing practitioners to release tension and find stillness both physically and mentally. It often incorporates mindfulness and breath awareness techniques, making it a practice that not only enhances physical flexibility but also cultivates mental clarity and emotional balance. These classes are offered every week, on Wednesday at 6:30 PM CST.

  • Power Flow Yoga

    Baptiste Power Flow Yoga is a dynamic and vigorous style of yoga founded by Baron Baptiste. It combines traditional yoga poses with flowing sequences and emphasizes strength, flexibility, and balance. In other words, you’re going to sweat! Practitioners can expect a holistic experience that incorporates breathwork, meditation, and physical stamina. The sequences are designed to build heat in the body, and increase strength and mental clarity. This practice focuses on physical alignment and mental fortitude. The class iis suitable for practitioners of all levels seeking to have a full body and mental workout. These classes are offered virtually every week, on Saturday at 1:00 PM CST.

  • Belly Dance

    Belly dance is an enchanting and expressive dance form originating from the Middle East and North Africa. The dance is often characterized by intricate movements of the hips, torso, and arms, usually accompanied by lively music with complex rhythms. Belly dance encompasses a wide variety of styles, from the fluid movements of Egyptian Raqs Sharqi to the dynamic and percussive techniques of Turkish and Tribal fusion styles. The dance is a true celebration of femininity, sensuality, grace, and cultural heritage. It is also a powerful form of self-expression and can boost confidence and self-esteem. In addition to learning its beauty, you will work your core and liven up muscles that you didn’t know you had! Belly dance classes can be booked at any time depending on availability, or you can attend our monthly Goddess Vibes Workshops.

Types of Services

In-Home Parties

Transform your living room into a serene sanctuary or a lively dance floor with our in-home yoga or belly dance parties. Whether you’re looking to find harmony through yoga or ignite the energy with our vibrant belly dance sessions, we can do it all. Our in-home yoga and belly dance parties are perfect for birthdays, bachelorette gatherings, or simply gathering friends and family for a memorable and fun night. Let us bring the magic of yoga and belly dancing directly to your doorstep, creating moments of connection, laughter, and pure bliss!

Weekly Classes

Weekly classes are offered in Yin Yoga on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM CST. These classes are virtual, so you can always join no matter where you are in the world. This calming practice offers you the opportunity to stretch your muscles, move your joints, and invigorate your fascia tissue.

Power Flow Yoga classes will occur on Saturday afternoons at 1:00 PM CST. These classes are also virtual. This exercise is a beautiful series of asanas that flow together and create a full-body workout.

Private Sessions

A private yoga or belly dance session offers exclusive one-on-one instruction tailored to your specific needs and goals. Whether you're a beginner seeking personalized guidance or an experienced practitioner looking to deepen your practice. In yoga, we’ll focus on customized sequences designed to enhance flexibility, strength, and inner peace. In belly dance, we’ll focus on body awareness and isolated movements. In each type of session, you’ll receive individualized adjustments and expert guidance, in addition to the moves, you'll explore breathing techniques, and meditation practices catered to your unique body and mind, all in a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and well-being.

Signature Goddess Vibes Workshop

What do you think of when you hear the word, "Goddess?" Hopefully, the answer is staring at you in the mirror! At Goddess Vibes, we celebrate that fantastic body that you've been given! We honor your curves and highlight the strength that you have. This belly dance-inspired workout will empower you, help you create a strong mind-body connection, improve your posture, and offer you some meditative breathing techniques. Come join us for this uplifting experience and get your Goddess Vibes on!
